Polyester prosthesis for the repair of damaged thoracic aorta

Gelweave™ Valsalva is the first aortic root graft in the world, indicated for the repair and substitution of damaged thoracic aorta in cases of aneurysm, dissection and coarctation.

It has a unique design, prepared in 3 sections: body, skirt and collar.

Characteristics

Designed for its use in Bentall-type procedures or those for conservation of the valve.
Optimal adaptation to the anatomy of the aortic root.
Manages to imitate the natural response of the sinuses of Valsalva: greater longevity of the valve flaps.
Reduction of tension in anastomosis of the coronary arteries.
Allows good closure of the aortic valve flaps, greater than that obtained with standard cylindric grafts and more similar to those of healthy persons.
