AXIUM
Implantable system for neurostimulation of the dorsal root ganglia
Totally implantable neurostimulation system featuring thin and flexible electrodes.
Using an anterograde percutaneous entry technique similar to traditional implantation of SCS, the electrodes are placed close to the DRG in an intervertebral foramen and epidural loops or distensions are made in order to prevent migration.
The stimulation is administered at low intensities, with the ability of extremely fine adjustment (steps of up to 0.025 mA) and independent control (including the stimulation frequency) of up to four channels for the stimulation of just as many other DRG.
